PSA 9 #92275195 - Mint
1990 Topps Replica Card, hand-cut
“Donnie Baseball” made his major-league debut in 1983, four years after this 1979 Topps set was created. However, what a striking tribute card this is from 1990! After a few minor league cards were leased, Mattingly made his major-league baseball-card debut in Topps, Fleer, and Donruss sets in 1984.
He was named A.L. Most Valuable Player in 1984, capping off a season in which he led the league in hits, doubles and batting average.
In 1985, the following year, he led the A.L. in RBIs with 145 and was named the Major League Player of the Year.
