2016 Frank Robinson #ISD-FR

$40.00

SGC 9: #8581995 - Mint

Panini Immaculate Collection, Standard Material, Numbered 11/49

Do you know the story behind Frank Robinson’s stirrups?

He liked to where them pulled up high so that a lot of the white of his socks would be showing. However, with the style of the day (with much of the stirrup showing) and how he liked to wear his pants about halfway up the up the calf, he had to do things a little different so that the stirrups would fit him how he liked. He was too tall, you see, for how things with the Giants organization were designing their uniforms. So he had to have extra fabric sown into the thin portion of his game stirrups so that they would be high enough for his own particular style. Very unique (and maybe a bit DIVA-ish!).

So, here, you have a cut of his game stirrups in this card … and a little bit of baseball history thanks to GETrading!
