1975 Joe Theismann #416 ROOKIE CARD
SGC 4.5: #6094611 - Very Good to Excellent+
ROOKIE CARD!
Following an outstanding career at Notre Dame, during which he finished as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy his senior year, Joe Theismann's rookie season in the NFL was not particularly remarkable. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 1971 NFL Draft, but he did not see much playing time in his rookie year. Theismann appeared in only four games, completing just one pass for 7 yards and rushing for 3 yards. Following that season, Theismann was traded to the Washington Redskins, where he would go on to have a much more significant career. It was in Washington that Theismann developed into a starting quarterback and had his most successful years, earning Pro Bowl selections and leading the team to multiple playoff appearances and a Super Bowl victory over the Miami Dolphins in 1983
