Mathew Astrom Co-Founder
Mathew Astrom has been teaching for twenty years, ranging over four countries, three U.S. states, and seven schools. Nearly 1500 students have passed through his classrooms. Those students at the AP-level have earned over $1,000,000 worth of college credits, passing history exams at a rate of over 90%. Students lovingly know him as “the hardest teacher I’ve ever had” and then return for a second helping once they realize that something special took place under his expert tutelage.

Irma
Irma Jean Elizabeth Royal Bahamian Potcake found us wandering the streets of Santo Domingo in early September of 2017. She was a 17-pound, rail-thin and waterlogged sobreviviente de Hurucan Irma. Estimated to be 9 months old at the time, she has been by Mathew’s side ever since. She is extraordinarily obedient and protective. She loves to travel and is quite proud of her “Bark Ranger” status as a frequent visitor to U.S. National Parks. She is reputed to hail from a long line of noble Dutch Shepherds, and does not let her diminutive size distract from her grandeur.
Pepper
She is spicy. She’s full of sass. She is sometimes a pain in the $#@. Nonetheless, Pepper Carino Alegria de Paraiso Cano Hondo has been adding fuzzy flavor to our world since she was rescued during the CMS 10th Grade retreat to the Hato Mayor Province of the Dominican Republic in January of 2019. Her hobbies include flopping upon people, chewing on Irma’s ankles and running from place to place. And then running some more. And wagging her tail. Lots. We love us some Pepper.
